He was injured in the 2nd Test, a split shinbone resulting from a blow from a stick. The third match of the series was played by Victorian and NSW players, but in mixed teams, light blue and dark blue because NSW had injured players. The dark blues beat the light blues 6-3. (Evening News Syd 20 Sep 1011 p 2) Dunbar Poole returned to Sydney after the 2nd Test. He played in 1910 and this was his last game. He was 34 years-old and returned in 1930 as NSW team manager. |
