BORN FEBRUARY 22ND 1969 in Poprad Slovakia, he represented Australia twice with Alan Becken in the D-Pool World Championships in 1998 and 1999, coached by Kelly Lovering. He played all but 1 of 10 games for a 2.56 Goals Against Average and a Save Percentage of 90 percent in 1999. He won a IIHF D-Pool silver medal and a bronze. Former Captain of Australia, Anthony Wilson, noted recently he was the first goalie to request a shootout in warm-ups.

Between 2001 and 2010, he won 10 straight premierships with the Gold Coast Barracudas. Foundation goalie when he was 36 years-old with the Brisbane Blue Tongues in the 2005 AIHL expansion, he continued as back-up keeper after the Tongues signed former New York Islanders draft pick Tyrone Garner in 2007. Notably, he posted improving save percentages each year — 80.7 on debut; 83.7 in '06; 87.8 in '07, the same as Garner; and 92.2 in '09. He stayed with the club until the 2011 season, a veteran of its first seven seasons, through the relocation to the south coast as the Gold Coast Blue Tongues; the first finals appearance in 2009; and a season as goaltending coach in 2010.

Dave Emblem, former president and General Manager of the Gold Coast Blue Tongues, considers him "The best player, coach, GM I could ever have on my team". His son, Nic, made AIHL history in 2010, suiting up with the Gold Coast Blue Tongues when he was just 15 years of age. In 2015, Milan was goaltending coach of the National Junior Team (U20) in which his son also minded net and also debuted with the Melbourne Ice in the AIHL and the Melbourne Mustangs in 2017.

He still plays and coaches hockey in Queensland, most recently with the Southern Stars in Queensland's Division A winter league. He won the BUIHL championship with the Jokers in that division in 2015. A family man and tiler by trade, he is the owner of Milano Style tiles in Queensland.
